Novak into thirteenth Wimbledon quarter-final – Novak Djokovic


Novak continued his pursuit of a seventh Wimbledon title as he reached the final eight with a four-set victory over Dutch wildcard Tim van Rijthoven.

Sixth-time champion Novak Djokovic booked his place within the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Sunday night, following a 6-2, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 win over Tim van Rijthoven.

The Serbian star superior after two hours and 37 minutes of play.

Novak was challenged by his opponent’s highly effective serve and forehand, however he produced an excellent response to dropping the second set. The highest seed raced to a 5-0 lead within the third set to re-estabish his dominance. He wrapped up the win breaking twice extra within the fourth set.
